I notice there is only very limited space to enter remarks about the bills.
I have two questions/remarks in this respect:
1) What is the 'required' information: e.g. quality/condition of the bill; how do you classify 'good/ok/fair/bad' whatever, with so little room available?
2) On the "where's George" (US $) site you can enter a whole anecdote about the circumstances of obtaining the note (e.g. a store, precise location, how/why [at casino? change for cigarettes? at Burger King?], etc. This makes for potentially entertaining stories as bills start to pop up elsewhere. Why is this not supported here, or am I missing something?

It’s not the first time that there’s a request for the possibility to enter make the comment field longer. I have to admit that sometimes I have to shorten my message too in order to fit it into the field.
I don’t know if making this field longer is a hard thing to do.
And now that we’re at it. There are several things that you can put in the comment.
- the quality of the bill : Wrinkled, dirty, tears, brand new…
- where you got it : at a shop, found it in the street, …
- from who you got it : from a family member, from a friend, from an other Eurobilltracker (makes it more easy to moderate)
- something else : like the smell of perfume, some text on the bill.
What other things can be put into the comment field
And if you really have a special bill and you want to write something very long about it, you can always write in the comment that there’s more information about your bill on the forum.
After entering the bill, get the timestamp and then you can refer your bill in the forum by using the timestamp, value and masked serial (an example of a masked serial : Z1x300470xxx)

re: length of remarks
It looks like the max length is 40 characters.
Anyway the puny edit field only allows to see 16 characers which is close to nothing.
Thanks for the feedback though.

Yes I just did a test (with some new aquired bills).Anonymous wrote:I'm sure you can put in 50 charactersysbr wrote:It looks like the max length is 40 characters.

It's 50 characters indeed.
Still, I have to admit the original message I wanted to put there was was too long. Lucky I'm good in cutting away the right words

I think we could focus a bit more on the comments on the stats... I'd like to read more about the story of the hit-bills !
