I'm very happy about the little tool, works very well and is very handy to create the top10 rankings

I'm not very convinced about it if it misses some people (like Trico above). I should do some re-tests, but at least for now it's not presenting the thruth.

Maybe there are to many users in that city? Or some may have written it a bit different (although I don't think that will be the problem).

If that's true, then this the information received from this tool isn't useful. Because the public pages only show 330 newest users, and even I ain't soon in Joensuu's 330 newest. So charts based on the tool arent's true but false.

correct, only with this tool you can only make correct city statistics for cities with less than 331 users. But how do you find the users without the tool? (you can also get all users from Finland with the tool, then you have some more users from Joensuu with lots of entered notes, but how do you get the other users?)

And althought a lot of search in EBT server is done, the downloading of the TXT-file is SLOOOOW! 0,7k/sec

because, not although. That number of 0,7k/s doesn't say anything, such a number is only meaning anything if you download an existing file, then it tells you the possible download speed of your connection to the server. But in this case the creation of the data needs time, and the user profiles are 40 times the size of the output data. I could multiply the data by 100 by just repeating it, then you'd have 70k/s

There must be a problem with the tool, because when I download the txt-file of Paris (France), lot of big users are missing, for example Paris nr2 j3paris.

It seems that the tool only download the 330 last users registered (the oldest user registered on 20/04/2005)
so in consequence, the ranks look like that when I sort the data by "notes entered on excel" :

Hey,

great work "aen".
In fact it is so great that I have to change the rules I creat for the EU-Ranking.
I think you need alot of time to update all the dutch citys every month.
So I creat a new rules that says "Only Top 10 that are posted somewhere, will be added to the ranking."
The reasons is, so people from the city can see how many notes they have to enter to be under the Top-10.
And the Top 10 Trackers will have a competion. So maybe they will enter more Notes to overtake someone or keep the distance.
So here are the rules again and I put them in a better form on the end of the 3th posting of this Topic.

So now I have to say sorry.
Sorry "daniellez" Bolsward has only 3 activ and 7 Trackers overall. I will not yet put them on the EU-Ranking, because a Top-10 is a Top-10
Sorry I have to put a limit up, so not every little village with one or two Trackers will be on the Ranking. But keep going there only must be 3 more Trackers in Bolsward and Bolsward is on the ranking.

Sorry "alex77r" I have to delate Paris from the ranking, because of this new rule. But maybe you can start a French-Top-10-Topic or post the Paris-Top-10 here. As far as I know, there are 44 Trackers from Paris under the first 330 Trackers from France. "androl"s Tool only show the 330 newest Trackers in a city with Tracker over 330 Trackers. So maybe that will help you a little, to creat a Top-10

And Sorry Madrid. I have to delated Madrid from the EU-Ranking, because I learnd that the region of Madrid is wider that Madrids City Limits.

I hate to delated Madrid and Paris, because than the EU-Ranking losses two country Flags, but I hope that there soon will be a City-Top-10-Topic in the French and Spain section of this forum.

For some cities you consider different correct spellings (for example Brussels or Munich). It is however clear that you are not quite consequent with this, since the official name of Den Bosch is actually 's-Hertogenbosch, and users from "this" town are not included in your Den Bosch figures, where they actually should!
Also, how did you select these cities? Just randomly or has there been any systematic selection? It would be nice if you would clear these things up, thanks in advance.
